Our client is searching for a Senior Trust Manager/Director to head up this prestigious division. You will be responsible for:
-To provide a full trustee service for own portfolio of clients (new and existing), liasing, as appropriate, with settlors, beneficiaries, advisors and introducers of business -To provide Trust & Company technical advice to the Gibraltar business to ensure that all staff continue to meet the highest technical and service level standards -To ensure Trust &Company Mgmt division budgeted productivity, billing and cash collection targets are achieved/exceeded. -To build an acknowledged “centre of excellence” for Trust &Company Mgmt activities -To market and promote the Centre of Excellence both within the local market and throughout the global networks of intermediaries -To liaise closely with the International Tax Division in the implementation and subsequent administration of managed structures. . -To carry out “four eyes” reviews of all Trust reports, discussion documents, etc that are issued. -To develop Trust &Company Mgmt ideas relating to Gibraltar and the use of offshore structures generally and communicate these internally and to known network. -To contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for efficient delivery of services. -To assist with internal training, both within the Trust & Company Mgmt division (technical) and the Group (awareness) and point Trust & Company Mgmt staff to relevant external training. -To publish Trust articles and arrange seminars to increase awareness of our abilities. -Direct reporting line for Trust and Company administration team The ideal candidate would have all the following qualities: -At least 5 years experience of Trust Management activity in small/medium sized growing businesses. -Proven success in building and managing a Trust portfolio of “Super” HNWI clients. -Detailed technical knowledge and the practical applications of: Essential: Detailed knowledge of International Trust law and practice, preferably through formal training and the uses of offshore finance centres in international structuring. The practical use of trusts and companies for HNWIs, Knowledge and understanding of Company Secretarial procedures and the role of Manager Good interpersonal skills, client exposure and public speaking and writing ability Proven track record of managing and developing a team Desirable Accounting and numeric knowledge Experience of working in or with Offshore (English speaking) environments Understanding of EU anti-avoidance legislation PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Member of STEP Could be Chartered Accountant, Solicitor, Trust Banker/Manager or possibly qualified by experience, but in the latter case would need to be exceptional. The candidate would need to fulfil the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission licensing requirements of an approved Manager Salary dependant on experience |
