Senior Solution Architect RAN – GCH Ireland
The Global Competence Hub (GCH) in Ireland has the mandate to support the under-resourced regions in service delivery and new engagements. This unit will also be a receiver of global competence assignments as well as supporting new product & service introduction. GCH Ireland will initially serve Region Sub-Saharan Africa (RSSA) but will expand over time to support all regions. GCH Ireland is looking for Senior Solution Architects in RAN to join its team based in Dublin. As a member of the GCH Ireland team you will be part of the service delivery team RAN supporting Region Sub Saharan Africa (RSSA). Description As a senior Solution Architect, you will be responsible for managing customer requirements and proposing solutions . The senior Solution Architect is engaged with the account team from pre-sales through the implementation and conclusion stages of the project. The senior Solution Architect is experienced in handling scope change and also demonstrates strong leadership capabilities. As a senior Solution Architect your role is at the centre of activities, entailing a high level of interaction with the customer organization and the necessary internal units . Main Responsibilities: • Analyze complex customer requirements and propose technical and competence development solutions • Select or propose 3rd party suppliers/products for the Customer Solution as required. • Provide the specified customized solutions, covering several domains and layers in the customer network. Products • Drive changes in the methods, processes and guidelines within the customer organization or internally demonstrating leadership. • When applicable participate as a member of Core 3 team. • Drive Add on sales and new business opportunities during the entire process in order to contribute to increased sales volumes. • Manage teams of less experienced Solution Architect or Service Engineers in Customer Projects. Qualifications You have the following: 1. Minimum of BE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 2. Minimum of 8 years Telecom Experience and including at least 5 years in a customer facing role as a solution architect 3. Strong architecture design and modeling capabilities 4. Strong track record in engaging with C-level at customers 5. Very strong knowledge on RAN systems such as WCDMA, CDMA, GSM, IPRAN and ETRAN and services such as design/planning, optimisation, network performance review. 6. Strong E2E GSM, WCDMA and LTE network architecture knowledge Travel Commitment The role involves extensive travel up to 90% initially in Region Sub Saharan Africa with assignments lasting from 1 day to 3+ months. |
